The Mission of the Hillsborough Association for the Education of Young Children is to promote the quality of life, learning and care of young children.  Our mission is accomplished by:

• Increasing awareness of the needs of young children in hillsborough county.
• Coordinating the efforts of individuals and groups who provide educational and developmental services to young children.
• Furthering the knowledge and understanding of the development of young children.
• Promoting the Professional Development of those who work with young children by co-sponsoring early childhood training.
• Advocating for quality health and education standards for young children.
• Hosting and sponsoring a series of annual events for members including the teachers of the year, and director of the year.
